ART INT'L / Autumn 2024
10,000

Korea’s biggest “Hot Art Week” returns once again. This fall, Kiaf and Frieze are preparing for their third joint edition. It marks a “stellar moment” as Seoul firmly establishes itself as a global art hub. Kiaf will unfold across Coex Halls A & B, the Grand Ballroom, and The Platz through the 8th, while Frieze will take place in Halls C & D through the 7th. This year is especially significant: it marks the halfway point in the five-year partnership between the two fairs—a critical juncture. Amid a prolonged global economic downturn, this edition serves as a barometer for the results to be expected over the next two years. Art presents a special preview of the 3rd Kiaf & Frieze. Since the launch of Frieze Seoul, our editorial team has published a special issue each year. This feature is divided into two parts. First, Power Gallerist Interviews: three world-leading gallerists share their perspectives on the current state and future of the contemporary art market, along with strategies for this year’s fairs. Second, Gallery & Artist Highlights: an in-depth spotlight on 74 blue-chip artists represented by 47 major galleries from Korea and abroad. This fall season’s mammoth event—Kiaf & Frieze. Experience it in advance with Art!
